Rules of Conduct

All league members are expected to compete fairly and act in the best interests of the league. League members may not:

  • Engage in collusion with another manager.
  • Drop or dump players with malicious intent.
  • Make roster moves intended to unfairly hinder another manager.
  • Take any action that compromises fair competition or the integrity of the league.

All managers are expected to remain reasonably active throughout the season and treat fellow league members with respect. The commissioner reserves the right to review and address any conduct that threatens the fairness or integrity of the league.

Entry Fee

The league entry fee is $100 per team. An additional $10 is added to the fee for anyone attending to help cover food and any draft board items for the in-person draft. Payment must be submitted to the commissioner through Venmo no later than the day of the draft.

Rosters

Each team will have a maximum roster of 16 active players, consisting of nine starters and seven bench players.

Starting lineup: 1 QB · 2 RB · 2 WR · 1 TE · 1 Flex (RB/WR/TE) · 1 D/ST · 1 K

Bench and IR: 7 bench players · 1 injured reserve slot

Complete roster and position settings can be found on the Sleeper league page.

Auto Subs

The Sleeper Auto Subs feature will be enabled. Managers may designate an eligible bench player as a substitute for a starter. If the starter is officially inactive for their game, the designated substitute will automatically be moved into the starting lineup. Managers are responsible for setting their own Auto Subs before the applicable players' games begin.

Scoring

The league's complete scoring settings can be found on the Sleeper league page, under League Settings → Scoring.

Draft Rules

Draft-position selection order begins with the winner of the consolation bracket, followed by the consolation bracket runner-up and the remaining non-playoff teams according to their consolation results. Playoff teams select after the non-playoff teams, in reverse order of their finishing position. The previous season's league champion receives the final remaining draft position — not necessarily the last overall pick, just the last spot chosen among the other nine. New league members select their draft position after the returning champion, unless otherwise determined by the commissioner before the draft.

Keeper Rules

Updated August 1, 2026, effective beginning with the 2026 season.

Each team may keep one player from its roster from the previous season. To be eligible, the player must meet all of the following:

  1. Must have been originally drafted by your team — players acquired via trade, waiver, or free agency are not eligible.
  2. Must have remained on your roster for the entire season — if dropped at any point, the player becomes ineligible even if reacquired later.
  3. Keeper cost is two rounds earlier than the player's original draft round (e.g. drafted round 8 → costs a round 6 pick).
  4. Only players originally drafted in Round 5 or later are eligible. Rounds 1–4 cannot be kept.

Keeper cost examples:

  • Drafted Round 5 → costs a 3rd-round pick
  • Drafted Round 8 → costs a 6th-round pick
  • Drafted Round 12 → costs a 10th-round pick
  • Drafted Round 16 → costs a 14th-round pick
  • Drafted Round 4 or earlier → not eligible
  • Undrafted, traded, waiver, or free-agent pickups → not eligible

Each manager must submit their keeper selection by the deadline established by the commissioner.

Waiver Rules

The league uses Sleeper's Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) for waiver claims. Managers submit blind bids; the highest valid bid wins the player, and that amount is deducted from the manager's remaining FAAB balance. Waivers process each Wednesday at approximately 3:00 a.m. Eastern. Complete FAAB settings are on the Sleeper league page.

Trade Rules

All trades must be offered, agreed to, and accepted through Sleeper. Trades are subject to the league's standard veto-voting process — in the 10-team league, five veto votes are required to reject a trade. Vetoes should be reserved for legitimate concerns involving collusion, roster dumping, or conduct threatening league integrity — not simply a belief that one side got better value. Trades are subject to a one-day review period before processing.

Major trades: managers are encouraged to announce significant trades in league chat. A low-impact deal (e.g. a backup fullback swap) isn't typically a "major" trade; a deal involving multiple high-value starters is.

Trade deadline: no trades permitted after the conclusion of Week 11.

Playoffs

The top six teams qualify for the league playoffs, which begin in Week 15. Seeding and tiebreakers are determined by the league settings on Sleeper.

Consolation Ladder & Toilet Bowl

Teams that don't qualify for the championship playoffs play in the consolation postseason, which exists to give non-playoff teams something meaningful to compete for, discourage tanking, keep everyone engaged through the end of the season, and determine next season's draft-position priority for non-playoff teams.

Prize Payouts

The league's $1,000 prize pool: 1st place $650 · 2nd place $250 · 3rd place $100. First- and second-place managers may mutually agree to divide their combined prize money differently before the championship matchup.

Last-Place Punishment

Updated as of the 2025 draft.

Current punishment: a costume, voted on by the league, must be worn to the draft.

The team finishing last in the regular-season standings receives the punishment — the postseason consolation bracket / Toilet Bowl does not determine this. The specific punishment is proposed and voted on annually, ideally agreed upon before the regular season starts.

Commissioner Authority

The commissioner maintains the league, interprets these rules, and resolves situations not specifically addressed here. Decisions should prioritize competitive fairness, consistency, and long-term league integrity. Rule changes that materially affect competition should be communicated to the league before taking effect.

Draft Day Notes & Proposals

These are discussion notes and votes from recent drafts, not settled permanent rules — kept here for context.

2025 draft votes:

  • Remove kickers (or, if kept, move to a 0.1 pt/yard scoring format with ESPN bonuses removed).
  • TE reception bonus: 1.25 pts trial (with 1.5 pts to be reconsidered the following year if needed).
  • Last-place punishment/trophy goes to the worst regular-season record; draft order still determined by the loser-bracket winner.

Adopted for 2026:

  • Added an additional FLEX position (especially relevant if kickers are removed).
  • New keeper rule adopted by league majority (Kwilos's proposal): 1 keeper, 2-round penalty, Round 5 cutoff.

2026 draft discussion:

  • Possible auction draft (expect ~2 extra hours; would need an auctioneer).
  • Possible expansion to 12 teams (one interested prospective member).
